Jodi Ohama and Troy Winget shared a vision for a better kind of salon in the hairstyling industry. Not just to provide guests with professional and highly creative services, but also to increase the profile and education of the stylists in the salon.
“We both had this idea of a salon that’s more than great hair, but also a great experience,” Jodi says. “Troy started the salon in 2004 and I came on in 2009 to help with the business and operations end of the salon.”
By increasing the education of the staff and providing a place where people could come and be pampered with a customized experience, RedBloomSalon has become one of Calgary’s top salons. “We were actually named one of North America’s Top 200 salons in December of 2014,” Jodi says. “It’s the Academy Award for salons held by Salon Today and Modern Salon. We are really excited about this accolade.”
