Heaven Essence Day Spa is a special sanctuary dedicated to a special woman. Owners Sheri Detonnancour and Holly Hayes opened the spa in memory of Holly’s mom, Teri Paxton. Sheri had been Teri’s esthetician for 14 years. When Teri took ill, Sheri went to her house to continue working with her until she passed in 2009. Sheri and Holly got to know each other during that difficult time and decided the best way to honour her memory was to open up Heaven Essence Day Spa and make it the preeminent relaxation spot in St. Albert.

They couldn’t find an existing spot they liked in St. Albert so they built their own. “We had nothing. Holly’s dad did all the planning and designing and my dad did all the building,” says Sheri. “It was a lot of work but it’s really fun to see what you imagine in your head actually take place and become what it is now.”

    I was very impressed with the staff, as they take their time looking after your wants and needs. There was no rush to finish up and pay. The staff's knowledge about different subjects is fantastic, and they seem to know if you would like to chat, or just stay quiet and relax. Loved the ambience. Nice and relaxing.
