“You never really think about how one industry affects another until it does,” Jim Dawson says. “This past season, we have framed more Gretzky-era Oilers jerseys than anyone from the current lineup!” Since 1979, Prints Galore has been framing hockey jerseys and everything else under the sun. Started by artist Danny Burns, Jim and Kathy Dawson bought the shop in 1994.
“I supported Kathy on the business side and I helped run the shop. She was a graduate from Alberta College of Art and had a great interest in this industry," Jim says of his wife, who has since passed. "I’ve been full-time in the shop since 2004, and while this hasn’t been my main interest, I have picked it up over the years.”
