Owner Wilson and his business partner have been successfully running the Burnaby Palace Restaurant for more than three decades. “We provide good food, good service, and good portion sizes to win our customers’ favour,” Wilson says. It’s that quality, he feels, that distinguishes him from other Chinese restaurants in the area.
It’s a quality that extends through all the restaurant’s dishes. Wilson buys fresh, local ingredients and is happy to make adjustments to cater to the tastes of local customers.
“Of about 15 dishes that we find are very popular, by far the most ordered are the hot and sour soup, our ginger beef, the house Chow Mein, and the lemon chicken.”
They just put the prices up again by $1 across the board within a 1 year period. This is good Chinese but waaaaaay too pricey. $10 for chicken sweet corn soup? Youve go to be joking.
I have been ordering food for delivery from your restaurant for many years but tonight I was extremely disappointed. The food had no flavour. All the dishes were very bland. I was embarrassed in front of my guests and we all agreed it was not tasty. I don't think I will be able to order from you again.
I have to say I really enjoy ordering from here.
It's great Chinese Food that always shows up fast and it's always hot! Which is how Delivery food should be.
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dish at a reasonable price.
Living in Vancouver we eat Chinese food frequently. Burnaby Palace was a terrific surprise. Exceptionally clean, updated decor. Quick and friendly service. Wonderful food. Definately a place we will be returning to again - often.
Yesterday evening, I had dinner with my family and in-laws at Burnaby Palace Restaurant. We ordered 5 dishes and 20 minutes in I had a waitress check our food…. No response. At 45 minutes, I checked with the waitress again and she told me they were making food table by table. Then at the one hour mark, we got our food… but wait… only 3 of the 5 dishes came. When we asked about the other 2 dishes, a waiter checked on only 3 dishes were entered into the computer! He said that he give us a discount and give the 2 remaining dishes for free if we waited for them. Only one more dish came and we just decided to get the bill and leave. They ended up charging for the last dish that came.too. If my in-laws weren’t with me, I would have either 1) left at the 30min mark or 2) paid for whatever I thought was sufficient for the bill and caused a scene. The food is mediocre and is not worth the wait. During this time, I noticed that the takeout queue was moving faster. Beware of the horrible service if you are considering on going to this restaurant to dine.
