Located near Brentwood Town Centre in South Burnaby, Fire Pots Hot Pot, Tapas and Bar offers a modern take on traditional Chinese hot-pot dining.
“Instead of having one giant hot pot for the table, everyone gets their own personal hot pot in front of them,” explains Charlie Xu, the self-proclaimed food fanatic who runs Fire Pots. “It’s more familiar for Western culture, especially if you’re dining with casual business colleagues.”
Since Fire Pots Hot Pot, Tapas and Bar opened its doors in 2012, Charlie’s community has shared his passionate culinary journey, gathering round the tables at Fire Pots with friends, family and businesses colleagues, each becoming chef of the hot pot of their choice. “You get to control the burners yourself and watch the food cook. It’s a very hands-on experience,” says Charlie.
Offering traditional soup flavours and the freshest locally sourced ingredients available, Fire Pots ensures you’ll be preparing yourself a delicious and nutritious meal when you visit. Plus—if you don’t mind sharing—with individual hot pots at the table you can experience a variety of flavours. Fire Pots’ menu also boasts lighter options, including a range of tapas such as spring rolls, stir-fries and rice dishes.

My husband and I ate at the Firepot restaurant last night, we loved it!! We decided to create our own hot pot (it's more fun) The food was fresh down to the vegetables, clean, with friendly wait staff. The atmosphere is nice yet casual. Good music. A great date night or a small office party get together, interesting meeting luncheon. The only suggestion I have is for the lighting to be dimmed and pointed a touch away from your eyes so that you can gaze upon the decor. Your tummy won't regret the healthy food and either will your taste buds.
