Located in the heart of Kitsilano, Hi Nippon has been around for a while and they make some pretty darn good sushi. Another restaurant dedicated to using wild salmon Hi Nippon has all of the old standards plus a decent, if un-inventive, selection of specialty rolls. Overall this is a great place to get sushi. The non-sushi menu items are not the greatest. The tempura tends toward the greasy side and the teriyaki dishes are good but not great. Our little one, however, earnestly declares that the udon soup she had tonight was the best ever! The service tongith was excellent and timely and the teriyaki dishes arrived piping hot and well timed witht he sushi order. Visit Hi Nippon for your next sushi fix and you will leave satisfied!
