Checker Cab

Common sense isn’t a flower that grows in everybody’s garden. Got ended up getting picked up in a former police car triggering my PTSD from the wortman attacks. The cab driver took so long because he was sanitizing the whole car and drove the whole way (15 minutes) with a signal light on. Also alt right wingers galore, every time I call this Cab the driver Always seems to have something to say about their racist political beliefs I paid you to get me where I’m going not for your opinion.

Bad service and timing

They charged my credit card over $90 for a 5 min. cab drive in Fredericton and when I noticed the transaction on my credit card statement they would not reimburse me. Dishonest company stay away!!!

Always late, i will give them just 1

Called for a taxi this morning to go to the Fredericton airport. The driver was late because he didn't know where he was going. The driver was all over the road driving there. He said it was the end of his shift so I'm assuming he was tired but he was driving as if he was intoxicated. Thankfully, I was about 15 minutes away from the airport. If he wasn't late and I wasn't cutting it close on time, I would have asked him to pull over and send another cab. Definitely won't be using this company.

Driving excessively fast does nothing for my safety. Obey posted limits.

Took over half a hour for our cab to arrive. Super inconsiderate and unbelievable.

Absolutely the worst cab company in the city. Phones are rarely answered on first try and rarely by a friendly voice.Waits are unreasonably long (have waited more than half an hour and have had to call to prompt them). Rates are higher than atleast two other companies. Will not use Checker nor recommend it.

They never pick up their phones so trying to get a cab is frustrating obviously time-consuming. The drivers aren't very friendly and they always arrive late. Would not recommend.

I would like to I make a comment on the rudeness of Gary the one i had to deal with today i fine he is most rudest person i had to talk to I would like to say i wish i didn't have to deal with him

I called this and the operator told me he never heard of my place before. Hello!This is the third time u service me i know ur voice.What's wrong with this company? Never never use it again.

I called this cab...

I called this cab abd first they told me 20min wait after waiting 35 called back they said they were around the corner waited another 20 minutes called back lied about being here as we waiting outside then said be right back waited another 15 mins would never ever call this company or recommend it to anyone they deserve no stars....pfft

At least 30 minut...

At least 30 minutes before they show up, often more. Waiting OVER AN HOUR is just unnaceptable, and is the reason for this review. Never again am I taking Checker Cab.

when the cab arri...

when the cab arrived I said "hello how are you?" and he only responded with "where are you going?" so I told him and on my way he got a call for his next pick up and he wasnt too please with it so he swore and threw his radio at the window. He dropped me off at the wrong driveway and asked for my money. I paid him so I could get out and proceed with calling the company to complain. The receptionist was nice and easy to talk to and took my complaint and apologized for the cab drivers behaviour.

I hired a cab to take me home after a late night party during the really bad storm last night. The driver after one attempt to pull into my street said he could not make it and i had to walk. Its a good thing i was able to wade through the deep snow for over 20 minutes to my house. Would have been really bad if i was in worse shape. Might not have made it.

Fredericton Taxis

I've used taxis for years in this city and after going from on company to the other I'd have to say Checker is the best in this city. With two of the other companies they make promises they can't keep, i was late for work twice and late for a flight ... so I switched to checker. At least these guys will try to make it right if there is a problem unlike the other couple i dealt with. Definitely the type of service you expect from a taxi company in the capital city.

Amazing

I use checker cab daily to get to work and the service is phenomenal! When they tell you 5 minutes they're not kidding. Friendly drivers, cheap fares and instant service.
