Another year gone

I run a fishing tournament in town each year, and this is our breakfast spot. Truth be told, it's really the only place in town that's open at an early hour, but they don't seem to take advantage of that. They act as if they have competition, and it shows with the line-up that greets you. That's really the only down side that we have found, but it speaks volumes about their popularity.

It could be better

French toast should be crispy on the outside and very moist inside. It looked like the eggs were poured onto the griddle and then they dropped the bread into the egg. It was the worst French toast I've ever had. My wife had scrambled eggs that were seriously overcooked. Not sure if they were having a bad day but I definitely will not be ordering the French toast from there ever again.

Best resturant in town!

No doubt this is the best place to eat in Haliburton! The service is really friendly and fast and the portions are huge! Great place to take the family, very reasonable.

The only thing this restaurant is lacking is...

The only thing this restaurant is lacking is SERVICE, the waitress we had didn't take our order correctly. Both my husband & I ordered breakfast, he got no bacon with his and it arrived when he was almost finished eating, that part was very disappointing and she tried to make it his fault. She never said goodbye to us and didn't thank us for the tip. Good food, lousy and unfriendly service, sorry to say for a small village.

If this is homecooking, you don't know what real food tastes like!!! Advertises "Eggs any style" ..but not how we asked for them. Coffee was disgusting and service...well again if this is home cooking the people who go here do not eat well at home either!!!

The food is good, but nothing special. The prices are fair also. I used to live in Haliburton, so when I come home we usually hit the Cozy. The service could use some improving.

whilst in haliburton my family and i over from england, visited this place often because of the quality of staff, food and everything about it! The final vist before we were to fly home, i remember people actually queing out the door to have breakfast. I think that says it all really.

I have been eating at the Kosy Korner all my life - the food is excellent and the atmosphere just like the name. I always make a visit to the Kosy every time I visit the cottage.

We have a cottage in Haliburton and I have been...

We have a cottage in Haliburton and I have been to Cosy for all 3 meals for the past 4 years and my husband his whole life. It is home cooking at it's best. It is the best breakfast we have ever had. The eggs are farm fresh the peameal is to die. The portions are large and you would expect the bill to be large but is very reasonable compared to the city. It is our favourite restaurant.
