I found the food very good and the portions adequate for the price. The steak sandwich on a Chiabatta bun was tender and tasty, the Caeser Salad was really good. My SO had the club sandwich with sweet potato fries, and she had no complaints.
The only thing that I would complain about is the fact that they seem to up-charge for any type of substitute or other add ons that are typically free of charge at other establishments.
Over all a great experience!
I went to Edelweiss a few times, but I just can't go back again. The last time I was there I had a decent sandwich, followed by two days of bed rest for food poisoning. No kidding. Now, this could just be an isolated incident, but it would be really hard for me to eat there again.
The food was okay, nothing special. The schnitzel was good, and the sandwiches were okay, but everything was very greasy, and the burgers were clearly frozen patties from a discount grocery store. The beer selection was about what you'd expect from a sports bar, as were the decor and atmosphere.
I really want to like this place, because the options in this area are so limited, but one bad case of food poisoning will make it really hard for me to go back.
