Giving this place a 2 because the cashier was really kind and talkative. Ordered the combo #2 and the price is 5.99 on their menu, got charged 7.99. Figured 2 whole dollars won't break the bank. My combo plate included sweet and sour pork. I realized after one bite that not only is it not meat, it is overdone, deep fried GRISTLE - who knows if it was even pork gristle (really, I'm not joking). Refer to photo. Absolutely nauseating. HORRIBLE. Don't go. Ever.
We've only had take-out but enjoy their food. The pad thai is always good although I would love a little more sauce. My husband loves the special house fried rice and the spring rolls are very tasty. I don't think I would ever dine in as their restaurant smells like their fish tank. The are pleasant on the phone when taking your order but sometimes it's hard to understand them.
Best Authentic Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and last but not least Dim Sum out there! If you wan't real Dim Sum made freshly everyday, unlike most dim sum restaurants that just heat up their frozen dim sum, then this is the place to come. Everyone is welcoming, and has a true family atmosphere. The food on the menu is great, along with one of my favourite drinks, bubble tea:), the food such as the pan fried squid, and the pad thai is also sensational, and the best in London guranteed! With the low cost, and big portions, it is worth it! You'll be coming back every week!
I've been here many times because I wanted to try all the popular dishes on their menu! I have to say, I LOVE their food! I'll list some of my favourites below. I usually go for their dim sum with my family! They have another room where there are big tables designed for big families (and I think they hold parties in there too). For Dim Sum my favourite dishes are the deep fried squid legs, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, the half moon fried shrimp dumplings, steamed shrimp dumplings, and the shrimp in rice flour roll! Dim sum is amazing because its good seafood dishes at an inexpensive price (compared to the expensive seafood appetizers at most restaurants that are almost $10 and up when dim sum is only 3 to 4 dollars. If I go there during the weekdays (because dim sum is only on Saturdays and Sundays only around 11 till 3 :( ) I would order the deluxe pad thai, pan fried squid, ginger beef (lots of beef on sizzling hot plate! literally smoking!), and their soft shell crab! Also dont forget to try their homemade chili oil! It's to die for! I LOVE THEIR FOOD :D (and I love their big fish tank and mini pond, both filled will beautiful fish)
The best Chinese food I've had and I tried a lot of different places in London. Long time customer, I always get takeout. They messed up an order once and came back within 20 minutes to deliver the correct order. Best won ton soup and beef/chicken fired rice. Closed on Mondays tho which kinda sucks since today is Monday and I am craving Chinese lol.
The decor isn't much, and service is minimal, but the food is excellent. I highly recommend the Deluxe Pad Thai and the Singapore Vermicelli.
As noted, the decor and restaurant itself is a bit run down and needs freshening up - that would make it so much nicer to stay; however, I usually order once a week - every other week at least. It is the best chinese I have ever had and is an excellent price when you compare portion size and quality anywhere else in the city. I have been ordering for over 2 yrs now and I have never gotten a wrong order nor have I ever had a bad meal. I highly recommend the food - at least the take out which is a lower price if you spend over $30 (I think)
This reseaturant is a very awesome place. The atmosphere is so friendly and family-life, and the environment is calm, peaceful with romantic (oldies) music and good for friends meet/talk. I eat here everytime me and my friends or co-workers want to go out. And they love the food here. The food is very reasonable for the size, and service is great. I really recommend it !
One of the best and cheapest dim sum places in town. Their chili sauce is great. The restaurant is a bit run-down but the food is great and the service was fast.
As far as chinese food goes. I'll get take out here again. The won ton soup is amoung the best I've ever had. I don't think I'd eat-in at this place, pretty run down and tacky, but the food is pretty good.
The best chinese food in London. I eat there once a week and never get sick of it. Try the ginger beef and I gurantee you will love it.
Been there a few times, fantastic food. The service is usually polite, but they sometimes get orders wrong or just plain forget things. Love the Dim Sum and Squid Legs (Chili Oil is a must!), too.
This is definatly the best Chinese food delivery place in london @ good prices too. for some reason they arnt listed in the phone book. Every other place ive ordered from is over prices with small portions. New Tai Hu wox u're sox
i went here on a date and we ordered a large meal......the survace was very rude and hard to understand, they gave us the wrong food. on top of that i got food poisioning and was throwing up for the rest of the night. i called the place the next day and they accused me of being a liar. needless to say this killed my date for that night. i will never eat here again.
