Westway have become a terrible taxi service. My first taxi of the day, number 148, was dirty, smelled and the driver was ignorant. When I called to come home I was told five to ten minutes. I am a senior and was left waiting outside for over an hour. If it hadn’t been for the kindness of the owner of Arlington barbers who gave me a ride home, I would still be waiting for a taxi. I will not be using them again.
Dont assume that they will keep a reservation. After waiting what seemed like a really long time, I called them back up and they said that no such reservation was in their system. The driver that eventually arrived, after they rebooked a cab, was very pleasant. However, my overall experience was poor.
Today in the morning I was traveling from CHEO to bells corners and got into 2 lights only and paid $50. But usually people pay around $30 for same distance and area! So disappointed.
My mother who is 90 years old was treated terribly by cab drivers on two different occasions. One time they brought her to the wrong address and then when she told him to bring her to the right address he kept the meter running. Second time the driver asked for the money upfront before he brought her to where she was going. My mother is deaf and she had a very difficult time with this.
The best cab company in Ottawa; Makes Blue Line look very bad indeed.
Dispatch is in the Philippines - they can't understand English. Made reservation with difficulty and asked them to repeat it back to me. They still got it wrong. Wanted AM taxi and they reserved for PM. Almost missed my flight. 2* for friendly and helpful driver.
We just had a west way taxi that complained he had to come from downtown Ottawa to pick us up in kanata. Not impressed

I live downtown and parking is not really an option so I pay for parking $75.00 a month andthis very disrespectful driver that works for westway has been parking in my driveway for the last 3 days. I had to park in the street far from my home and mobilize 2 small children due to this asshole. Now because of this driver for westway I recei A ticket of 55$ Which is very unfair. I just got his car towed because this guy is not just parked 5 min, 3 hrs later and he's still in my driveway , no note w
I had the worst experience with this company I ordered a taxi at 6:54 was told it would be there in 15min taxi came at 7:30. I was standing outside in the cold I'm currently 9 months pregnant and was with my 4 yrold son. The driver drove reckless.when we got to the address he tried to overcharge me I refused to pay that price demnaded he changed it to the correct price so he took my card out of my hand& paid himself with my interact tap I have never been so disrespected in my life!!
In the morning I called and ordered a taxi to pick me up at a place at 6:30 pm. I was supposed to be home by 6:45 pm and the driver came at 6:55 pm . My daughter and I were standing outside and waiting in the cold when it was raining. i called at 6:35 pm to ask where the driver was and they said "they'll be here in a few minutes." Every five minutes I would call and get the same response. At 6:50, I called and the man said " i can't do anything about it and it's not my fault."
The drivers clearly do not know how to drive, cutting people off and slamming on the brakes! Nearly caused an accident, highly do not recommend.
I had a great experience! Did my groceries during rush hour (only time I could find a sitter), came in less than five minutes. My driver was courteous and helped me with my groceries to the car and to my door! Thank you for helping! :)
I called for a cab a few days ago and after I waited for 20 minutes, I called back asking where about the driver is and what number he is. The girl on the other line just told me that "driver will be there soon" and hung up. Not sure if the connection got cut off, I called back asking if she had disconnected the line and she said "yes". wow.. At least don't admit that you hung up to your customers.. This dispatcher name is Annie. Watch out, she is well-known as rude, even to the drivers.
