Love this place! My husband and I were looking for good fish and chips and we were quite satisfied. I dont really care what the place looks like on the inside as long as it is clean. They have a sign saying the health department has been there and checked the place out and they passed so thats alright in my books. I think some people are a little dramatic on here. I thought the portion size was perfect, So did my husband who is a large eater. How much food does one person really need? it is a bit pricey but it's worth it for a treat once in a while!
OMG this place is gross, do they ever clean it? The decor is from the 60's and with the price of the fish and chips you think that they would put some money back into the place, or as least clean it!
The fish was okay, very greasy. The chips, terrible small pieces of potatoes that tasted old. Don't whatever you do order the greek salad, it's terrible.

i know the owners! and there awesome! but not to be bias, i have met them because of there great food! other then they had to rase the price of there fish and chips i love going there, it makes you feel at home and the laughs and jokes that come along with the meal makes it even better! i always have the same thing, and i hate sea food and i will eat anything there!
Staff were freindly but the food was terrible. Small portions of fries and there was more batter than fish. The fish was also very greasy and made us all feel unwell. First and last visit.
The lady serving was very nice - said that they had been there fo 40 years. After that many years you would figure the food should be outstanding but it was only average. The fish size I was told was 4 oz. and very oily the chips were short and below average. So I must keep looking for the best -

ordered 4 dinners what a joke they put it all in 2 little boxes from my experience eating fish and chips every order comes separate LOL and the chips were like cut end pieces what a joke and potatoes are NOT expensive they could of used whole potatoes, top it all off we have ordered from there for years i guess they just want to save money. also i come from a family of fisherman
so we know our fish !!!

Great fish and chips (the best in all of Oakville). very nice atmosphere of a family type restaurant . The best carrot cake (!!!!)/ banana cream pie to be purchased anyplace. the fish and chips are always a good portion size, Greek salad is recommended (in place of chips). Lots of laughs as the owners seem to know most of the customers really well.
My first visit to Art's after driving by it everday. Fish and chips were fresh, and the oil was clean. Prices are comperable to other Fish and Chip shops in the area.
