“Actually, I like area rugs a lot,” jokes Carrie Darmaga, co-owner of DarmagaHardwood Flooring. “But one thing about hardwood is when you clean it, it actually gets clean! With carpeting, even after you vacuum, who knows what stuff is still hiding deep down inside the carpet? I don’t have anything against carpeting, but I really believe that hardwood is a better product.”
There’s no question that Darmaga has some of the best quality flooring available, as well as real expertise. It first opened its doors for business in 1940, and despite the challenges in the market — predatory corporations, big-box stores and extreme competition — Darmaga survived all those decades because, simply put, it’s good. In fact, it’s been even better since the makeover.
