Owner Dante Perrone is not afraid to outrightly let his clients know the problem with their hair and how he’s going to solve the issue.
A big reason why Axe & Hatchet defines itself as a “grooming club,” as opposed to a barbershop, is evident in that consultation process, which brings the attention and education you would get at a salon to a more laid-back, social atmosphere geared towards men.
“A lot of barbershops just stick to clipper haircuts, but we don’t really do a lot of that,” says Dante, although Axe will if that’s what the customer wants. Instead, the focus is on detailed work, providing a cut that will make their clients look and feel their best.
