If you still believe in the old adage that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, then you've probably never experienced a day in the life at When Hounds Fly, a dog training centre and day school located in Toronto's Little Portugal neighbourhood. This check-point for pooches offers local pet owners a dog school program that runs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each weekday. The training program teaches pooches the ropes of proper socialization and good behaviour.
The pup academy also carries through into the evening, with a variety of classes for canines of all ages and backgrounds (one in four dogs trained at the dog school is a resuce). Comprehensive training sessions cover foundational skills training, good manners, scent detection and tricks training. For dogs who require specialized behavioural training, When Hounds Fly offersindividual classes to give animals with more complex problems some one-on-one attention.
