Great family restaurant! Rick and his staff make you feel like you are part of the family. The food is excellent. Have been going to this restaurant for many, many years and have never had a bad meal. Great place for celebrating special occasions.
My husband and I went there for dinner and found that the restaurant has outdated decor. The atmosphere was terrible. We ordered pasta and figured it must of been microwaved due to the hot and cold spots in the pasta. We were soooo disappointed cause we heard it was a great family restaurant. The service was not very good either. We will never return to this restaurant. There are far better italian restaurants in Woodbridge.
I was simply amazed at the food here. Small little place that brings you down home cooking and service. I would have to say hands down best pizza I have ever had. I have been to the big name places in Toronto and this is by far the best. Classic Italian in its ingredients and taste. Bread with classic oil and vinegar with chili peppers on the table was a great touch. The service was wonderful and everything was served with a smile. Strongly recommended. I will travel to come back.
I went to Gran Gusto for a party and was amazed at how wonderful the food was! The antipasto was perfect, along with the fried calamari which was so crispy! The linguine was exquisite, it was hot and delicious! The chicken parmigiana had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The potatoes were amazing, as well as the salad. The service was superb, everyone was very helpful and kind. I felt comfortable and loved every minute of it. I would definitely recommend Gran Gusto for your next big gathering, you won't be disappointed!
Really, just stay away! Pizza may just be just about the only safe bet here, actually forget I said that, it's really not that good with so many others in the area! Horrible food, outdated decor, ridiculous service!
For real home-cooked Italian food, this is the place to go. My family and I go there every Friday for their delicious pizza and pasta. As an Italian, portions, food quality and price are my main concerns. Many restaurants in Woodbridge over-price their pasta and this is not the case at Gran Gusto. It's not a fancy place, but great atmosphere for family.
