Peter Pan Bistro

1
373 Queen St W, Toronto ON M5V 2A4

Peter Pan Bistro has been a Queen West staple since 1936. Under the direction of current exec chef Noah Goldberg, the entire floor has been converted to an event space that can be split into three rooms and hold anywhere from 10 to 100 people. The rooms feature thirteen-foot ceilings, a fireplace and stained glass windows overlooking one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in the city (i.e there’s really nothing more you can ask for).

Canoe Restaurant & Bar

2
66 Wellington St W, 54th Floor, Toronto ON M5K 1H6

Hailed as one of the best restaurants to dine in Toronto (for its Canadian-inspired menu and breathtaking view over the lakeshore), the private space on the 54th floor of the TD Canada Trust Tower at Canoe is just as beautiful. Holding groups up to 60 people, the private dining area is best for exclusive dinners with high-profile clients and once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

George Restaurant

3
111 Queen St E, Toronto ON M5C 1S2

Right in the heart of downtown Toronto is George, an elegant, fine dining restaurant that offers the most breadth in terms of private dining in the city. Four rooms, which hold 10 to 120 people, are hidden away from the public behind sprawling antique wooden doors. Step inside to dimly lit, copper-tone rooms with large paintings and plush seating.

Isaan Der Queen Thai Food Company

4
730 Queen St E, Main, Toronto ON M4M 1H2

You might know celebrity chef Lynn Crawfood from Food Network Canada for her playful escapades on Pitchin’ In. At her east-end restaurant, Ruby Watchco, her personality is seen through both the food and décor. The private dining room showcases a gigantic ‘R’ splashed against an exposed brick wall, and group dinners are served family-style, just the way chef Crawford likes it.

Drake Hotel

5
1150 Queen St W, Toronto ON M6J 1J3

The Drake Hotel is Toronto’s ultimate hotspot for all that is hip. And their private dining space, Room 222, which holds up to 16 people, is no different. Commissioned artwork pervades the entirety of the hotel, and Room 222 features a spectacular wall mural that makes for a great subject of conversation at your dinner party.

Fabbrica

6
38 Karl Fraser Rd, North York ON M3C 0H7

An Italian outpost from Canadian celebrity chef Mark McEwan, Fabbrica at the Shops at Don Mills in North York offers private dining for up to 20 people for both lunch and dinner functions, ideal for uptown folk or anyone looking to escape the downtown core. The chef de cuisine can certainly help you personalize the menu, and the in-house pastry chefs can bake any cake you fancy.

Nothing beats biting into the perfect macaron. The delicate, palm-sized Parisian treat has a delicate crunch on the outside, and by the time you get to the ganache, you’ve been transported to a café on the Champs-Élysées. Sea salt and caramel, blackcurrant, or roasted pistachio – the varieties are endless. And in Toronto, here’s where they do it best.
There’s nothing that beats hunkering down with a hot cup of joe at one of Toronto’s many quirky cafés. But when the weather’s warm, switch that steaming mug for a latte on ice, and find a seat at one of the city’s café patios, for a perfect, caffeinated day in the sun. [Image credit: iStock.com/Jacob Ammentorp Lund]
Mediterranean cuisine hails some of the tastiest dishes on the planet. A breakfast shakshouka, warm pita dipped in labneh, iskander, Turkish tea…the list goes on and on. Thank the heavens that Hogtown has jumped on the bandwagon, giving birth to a number of establishments to satisfy our cravings. And for those who have traveled and tasted the goods firsthand, I’m sure you’ll agree that Toronto does Mediterranean food justice.
