Very misleading info provided. No effort to contact the customer [me]. Sent me a different type of visa hoping that would do me... Totally dismissive tone when I contacted them to point of rudeness.
Today, 02/01/12 I inadvertently called this office rather than CANADA Passport due to all of my ID having been stolen. A woman put me on hold and after some time she came back and after I asked her politely what the procedure was to get my ID replaced. I could tell she was not listening and told me I had to Google Canada Passport as she did not have the number. (I did verify it was the correct building address in Sinclair Centre). She then said "ok?" and hung up. I am sure she gets calls all day but you think she would know how trying and upsetting it is to replace ID and I do have my citizenship but was born in England. I work for a large corporation and often get calls for a competitor but I am always happy to give the correct number as a courtesy. Anyone having to deal with this office had better be ready to apologise for putting her out. I did not maliciously lose my ID just to antagonize her but I guess time is showing giving good customer service is long over! Call me at work because I get commendations from clients!!
