its amazing, the place is packed but its because of the friendly waiters and the amazing food. my mom nd i also sometime indulge and go there after the gym, good food all around.

I've been going to the Golden Palace since I was...

I've been going to the Golden Palace since I was 9. I've since moved away from Ottawa but it's the first place I go to when I return. They are know for thiew Egg Rolls (GP egg rolls for those who know the place). They are also know to ship via courier vast amounts of GP egg rolls all over Canada and the US. Mr. Tom Marr, who started the place is long gone now and missed, but the same waiters that started with him are still there making returning like going home. ALL the food is great there, but they have a special touch with thier garlic spare ribs, a special GP Lobster dish that is out of this world, almond guy ding and the ever famous GP EGG ROLLS. If you have nothing else there, have the egg rolls. BTW, they don't deliver, never have,,,never will.

If you enjoy American Chinies Food done right...

If you enjoy American Chinies Food done right this is the place. Best quality American Chinies food in town. I go there often. Well worth the extra price. Decore has been the same for years. They could loose the paneling but sealing is beautiful. What is laking in decore they make up with excellent food.

As nearly everyone else has mentioned, the egg rolls are the best in Ottawa - I often order 2 or 3 dozen to take out. I also like the chicken fried rice, the chicken balls(any flavour) and the lemon chicken.

I was the only one at the table not to have the...

I was the only one at the table not to have the famous egg rolls but they forgave me. We all ordered separate dishes to share and each and every one of them were excellent. There was more than enough food to feed us all and even a little extra (that they so kindly placed in sealed containers) for my son at home who also thought the food was very tasty.
