BODY HARMONICS’ sunlit suite is a place filled with heart, and founder and owner Margot McKinnon wears hers on her sleeve in the best possible way. “Did you know that only six per cent of Canadians are active?” she worries, soft blue eyes lit with passion. “This is absolutely terrifying to me, especially when you think about what that means for children!”
Margot's passion for health and wellness led her to open BODY HARMONICS in 1998. “People are so busy, or lack confidence, or are in cycles of depression and pain, which makes it immensely difficult to take ownership over their own health – it’s a full time job," she explains. “It's our responsibility to make this centre great because they have gone through the tremendous effort to get themselves here – we need to cheer-lead the people who show up to class.”
And that they do. BODY HARMONICS offers more than 100 classes per week suited to all ages and abilities, as well as in-house treatment rooms offering a range of healing modalities from osteopathy to life-coaching. Clients can build a personalized pro-active health-care system under one warmly welcoming roof.
